Elkins, West Virginia
Born and raised in West Virginia, I loved playing outside, building tree forts, and exploring the mountain bike trails of rural Appalachia. I soon discovered my passion for fishing, which quickly evolved to fly fishing for native and wild trout. As a trout bum for many years, I was blessed to have several great memories on the fly. From the extreme tiny midges to giant musky flies, I couldn't get enough of catching fish on the fly. I soon traveled to several destinations amongst the Appalachian Range from the small creeks of North Carolina to the Lake Tributaries in New York chasing my haunts.
A new world of fishing in Appalachia was introduced to me after launching a raft down the Greenbrier River. Now, I spend countless hours from a raft or kayak exploring new water and country of the road less traveled. Using several angling techniques to bring fish to hand, I enjoy all methods of angling. Whether it be a short fly fishing trip to a local trout stream or an all day float trip casting spinnerbaits for bass, there is always something new to learn.
